Jerryd’s Room
Jerryd is a 7 year old who loves music and aspires to be a musician one day! Jerryd has spina bifada and has limited use of his legs. He is able to get around very well in his wheelchair but appreciated the modifications Project Nightlights made to make his life a little easier. We enlarged the doorway to his bedroom, lowered the light switch so it's within his reach as he enters his room and reconfigured the closet space for optimal storage and accessibility. Jerryd shares his room with his older brother Johnathon who also enjoys music so that was our inspiration for their music themed bedroom.
Jerryd and Johnathon's family is wonderful and unique and there's never a dull moment in their household! There's also no shortage of love or support from parents Jeff and Angie despite the fact that Jerryd and 8 of his siblings are adopted. In fact, over years, Jeff and Angie have welcomed dozens of children into their home who were in need of a stable home environment. We think Jerryd, Johnathon and the entire family is extremely deserving because of all that they have done for others. We hope the boys enjoy their new bedroom space for a very long time!
