Our first room project is for James. He is an 11 year old boy from Council Bluffs who lives daily with numerous disabilities that prohibit him from doing things that other 11 year old boys do. The first time we met James and his parents we knew that they were a special family and he was an extra special kid. James doesn't let his medical issues, his surgeries or his limitations get him down. According to his Mother, "He's a real trooper and always has a smile on his face." James enjoys Nascar, watching baseball and Country Music. In fact, his love for Country Music and most specifically, Kenny Chesney, was the inspiration for his bedroom design. At the 2006 Kenny Chesney concert in Omaha, James was asked to go up on stage with Kenny and his band and then was given an autographed guitar! This is one of James' most prized possessions and it will be the focal point of his dream bedroom.
